4 Month Update/Progreso de 4 meses

IMG_1386Update: Month 4

I have taken some time to write about my dad’s progress, because we were going through a gloomy period. When all is said and done the disease and the diet itself is definitely challenging at times. We see cancer and death everywhere and it is very difficult to focus on the present. Having said that, the blues are an expected part of Gerson Therapy. It is our job to try and keep my dad’s mind occupied with happy, healthy thoughts. TODAY he’s definitely doing better now and we are working on a very positive future.

This months lab weren’t all too happy. Cholesterol, glucose and PSA reading went up and his blood pressure was at an all time high. The doctor in Mexico wasn’t concerned with his cholesterol and glucose level because they border on the high normal range and, as was explained before, it is natural for these readings to go up because the body is detoxing. He wasn’t all too concerned about his PSA reading either telling us that PSA readings are not all that “stable” and will read erratic at times. It is much better to consider an average. We will keep monitoring it. Other than the sadness, my dad has no other physical abnormality or pain, which leads him to be unconcerned about the PSA reading. However, his cause for alarm was that his blood pressure is not going down. Considering the diet, most people’s blood pressure drop in a matter of days or weeks. My dad has been on Gerson Therapy for almost 6 months and his blood pressure is not easing up. He has advised us to see if there might be a secondary cause. We are scheduled to go to both a cardiologist and nefrologist at the end of this month (January) and mid February. We will let you know how he progresses.

Progreso: Mes 4
